Relaunch of Sado Zasshi (Tea Ceremony Magazine) and the Establishment of “Sado Zasshi Members” by Omotesenke Domonkai
We are pleased to announce that Omotesenke Domonkai has succeeded the publication of Sado Zasshi (Tea Ceremony Magazine), which has long contributed to the promotion of Chanoyu culture. We are officially launching a new comprehensive service: “Sado Zasshi Members.”
Since its inaugural issue in 1937, Sado Zasshi (Tea Ceremony Magazine) has served as a historic monthly publication dedicated to sharing the traditions of tea culture for nearly 90 years. Following a hiatus in 2024, Omotesenke Domonkai has taken over its legacy to bring this publication back to our community in a new, modernized format.
By registering for “Sado Zasshi Members,” you will have access to the following services:
- Web Magazine: On-demand access to a wide range of articles, including “Sado Koza” (Tea Lectures) and monthly “Chakaiki” (Records of Tea Gatherings).
- Quarterly Sado Zasshi (Tea Ceremony Magazine): A physical print edition delivered to you four times a year.
- Digital Archive: Access to back issues released within the current fiscal year.
Please note: Both the printed magazine and the member website content are provided in Japanese only.
The service is scheduled to commence in May 2026. We encourage you to apply early to ensure a smooth start. For further details, please visit the official website below.
