The Annual Autumn Friendship Tea Gathering was held at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel
On Sunday, October 26, under an overcast autumn sky, the Omotesenke Domonkai Southern California Branch held its annual Autumn Friendship Tea Gathering.
The event was attended by approximately one hundred guests and was conducted in a most gracious and celebratory atmosphere.
The main tea room was conducted by the Sachiko Okazoe group, while the Usucha (thin tea) service was hosted by the Yoshiko Poncher group.The utensils and decorations were carefully selected to reflect the beauty of the autumn season, allowing guests to fully appreciate the refined elegance and serene atmosphere of the occasion.
In recent years, global interest in Cha no yu has continued to grow. This gathering reaffirmed our hope that, through such events, more people will come to experience and understand the depth and grace of Japanese culture.
